Alana and Alyssa
Alana De La Garza has made a name for herself in television. De La Garza, a Mexican American father and an Irish American mother, were both born in Columbus Ohio on June 26 in 1976. Her move to Texas to pursue an occupation as a physical therapist in the University of Texas. De La Garza didn't last very long in Texas before moving to Orlando Florida where she experienced many acting opportunities such as local independent films and world-wide commercials. Despite the small parts she soon discovered her love in acting. When she moved to New York, in 2001 she landed her first role as an actor on All My Children. Throughout the early 2000s she had small parts on JAG Las Vegas and Two and a Half Men. Her first major series appearance was on the short-lived 2004 television drama The Mountain. She played Maria Serrano and De La Garza had the privilege to be a part of a cast that included some of the best TV actors like Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. Her role most well-known for is her A.D.A. character in Law & Order (2006). Connie Rubirosa. She was on screen for 85 episodes. The character later re-entered the short-lived spinoff Law & Order: LA. De La Garza was nominated numerous times for her performance as a character, and among them was Best Supporting Actress in Television at the Imagen Foundation Awards. In 2008, she was awarded the Impact Award at National Hispanic Media Coalition's Outstanding Performance Award for a Dramatic Television Series. De La Garza was then cast as a recurring actor in CSI Miami. She was cast in the role of Marisol Delko, who is the wife of David Caruso's Horatio. Her most recent TV appearance was on NBC's somewhat darker show Do No Harm as Dr. Lena Solis. The series was cancelled after only two episodes. Alyssa Milano.............................Alyssa Jayne Milano was born on December 19 1972 in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn New York City to fashion designer and talent manager Lin Milano and film-music editor Thomas M. Milano. Milano was born Italian with a 10-year-old younger brother who is named Cory. Her family was a very strict and spiritual one. Milano's career began at age seven, when her babysitter took her to an audition. With more than 1000 applicants her name was picked among only four. Milano has appeared in TV advertisements, off-Broadway productions and in the American debut of Jane Eyre.
